Known for its labels featuring a horse’s head, Champagne Boutillez Marchand—based in Villers-Marmery, southeast of Reims—is run by Marion Boutillez and Jean-Michel Sourdet. This duo draws on vineyards located within a single terroir: Villers-Marmery, an iconic commune in the Montagne de Reims. Marion and Jean-Michel previously cultivated 6.8 hectares of Chardonnay. Recently, they added 0.20 hectares of Pinot Noir, allowing them to offer a Premier Cru “blanc de noirs” cuvée and expand their lineup to four wines, plus a ratafia.
