Gault&Millau's review
Abelé 1757 is one of the five oldest champagne houses. Recently acquired by Nicolas Feuillatte, it has made a major contribution to the historical improvement of the champagne method. Sourced mainly from the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims regions, the wines are vinified variety by variety, terroir by terroir, and blended to the highest quality standards. Well-known among sommeliers and wine merchants, the brand has always favored selective distribution. The "Sourire de Reims" cuvée, inspired by a famous sculpture in the cathedral, is the brand's emblem. The tightly-knit range comprises six cuvées, including two "Sourire" white and rosé.
