Gourmet Restaurant Michael Durkin continues to pursue his independent path, lavishing a joyful and original Franco-British cuisine at his table just a stone's throw from the Charente. The house makes no secret of its gastronomic ambitions, with its chic, hushed interior, where the whole of Saint-Saintes comes to do business. Start with the crispy egg, truffles, leek confit and garlic emulsion, the famous fish & chips revisited, fillet of sea bass and ragout of winter vegetables, cockles, fine herbs and fish stock, a supreme of parsnips, cabbage, chestnuts, pork ballotine and apricots, and to finish the "sticky toffee pudding", butterscotch sauce and vanilla ice cream. Good service.
