Gourmet Restaurant After leaving Odorico, Kevin Bougard opened his own restaurant in the Beaurepaire district. A sober frontage, a raw natural setting, parquet flooring and stone walls, designer furniture and simple table settings. The cuisine of the chef, a regular of fine establishments, concentrates on French savoir-faire, good technique and simple, effective recipes: well-made country terrine, fresh hake cooked correctly on spinach and a smooth, well-made parsnip cream before the slightly rudimentary chocolate ganache with a good buckwheat hazelnut praline. The service is young and easy-going, and the cellar is quite trendy, with a few young winegrowers in the spotlight, such as Virginie Cherruau of Château de Plaisance. The choice by the glass is limited, but shows a commitment to discovery by limiting prices to €6 (except €7 for bubbles).
