Quentin Mauro, winner of Top Chef 2025
Season 16 of the Top Chef cooking show, which pits chefs against each other, came to a close this Wednesday. After a series of twists and turns and a tightly contested competition, here's the big winner.
After 15 weeks of competition, season 16 of Top Chef came to an end on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. The winner was revealed at the end of the evening.
Who won the sixteenth season of Top Chef?
chef Quentin Mauro, 25, guided throughout the season by Glenn Viel (5-toque chef at L'Oustau de Baumanière), is the winner of the sixteenth season of Top Chef. He had been one of the favorites throughout the season.
Originally from Savoie, he worked in Lyon before joining the Bonhomie restaurant in Paris as chef. His victory gave him a temporary table on a barge in Asnières-sur-Seine, open from the day after his win until August 31, 2025.
Tight competition
Facing Quentin Mauro was young chef Charlie Anne, aged 24. The chef from Normandy already has a long track record in prestigious restaurants, notably with 4-Toque chef David Toutain, but also at the 4-Toque restaurant Gabriel. He was part of Paul Pairet's brigade, who had bet on a daring candidate from the outset.
For the final stage of their journey, the two finalist chefs focused on highlighting their respective terroirs: Savoie for Quentin and Normandy for Charlie. They devised a complete menu - starter, main course and dessert - with the help of a brigade made up of candidates eliminated in previous weeks.
Judged by the brigade chefs and a panel of other chefs in the final, the candidates were hard to decide between them, as the final scores show. Quentin Mauro won 52.65% of the vote, against Charlie Anne's 47.35%. Both candidates demonstrated talent, daring and sensitivity throughout their journey.
