Le Bouillon du Coq, Thierry Marx's new restaurant where you can eat for less than 20 euros

On July 11, 2024, Thierry Marx opens a brand new restaurant. Far from the world of gastronomy, the chef's new establishment aims to be accessible to all.

Things are moving in Saint-Ouen! A new Thierry Marx restaurant is about to open in the Paris suburbs. And for the occasion, the chef has teamed up with Thierry Martin. The 2006 Chef of the Year, who spent part of his youth in the Bois-l'Abbé housing estate, has always been committed to popular, accessible cuisine. So it's only half a surprise to see him set up shop in Saint-Ouen, for this new restaurant called Le Bouillon du Coq.

Traditional French cuisine at affordable prices

The restaurant has two floors and a terrace, offering plenty of space, making it an ideal place for reunions with family or friends. In the kitchen, you'll find classics like eggs mayonnaise, onion soup, free-range chicken with gratin dauphinois, entrecôte frites and chocolate mousse. On Instagram, the chef shared a typical menu: beef heart tomato with vinaigrette as a starter, knife-edge sausage with mashed potatoes as a main course, and crème brûlée for dessert. All for 15.60 euros.

The chef fromOnor (3 toques), who has set up shop in place of the century-old Coq de la Maison Blanche, has had the address completely renovated. His ambition is to go even further by creating a training facility nearby or directly in the restaurant. This comes as something of a half-surprise, given his commitment to the Second Chance School.

Thierry Marx 's bouillon will open on Thursday July 11, 2024. It is located at 37 Boulevard Jean Jaurès, 93400 Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, close to the town hall and accessible by metro line 14.
