Julien Gatillon inaugurates Au Bon Lait with an original creation

Julien Gatillon unveils his new Au Bon Lait house with an original creation, born of a secret recipe and the Haute-Savoie region. A first step in a gourmet adventure dedicated to Megève milk.

Mathilde Bourge

A breath of fresh air is blowing through Megève with the creation of Au Bon Lait, a house founded by chef Julien Gatillon(Vous, 2 toques in Megève), Megevan hotelier Nicolas Sibuet and their companions Sonia and Marine. Together, they set themselves the mission of reinventing milky pleasures, paying homage to the land where they grew up. Their first creation marks the official launch of the house: the very first Megève milk liqueur, available from mid-December.

This unique liqueur was born from an almost confidential recipe, exchanged during winter evenings and reworked with complicity. This wink to Alpine traditions evolved, over the course of tastings with friends, into a real project. From tests to adjustments, the preparation was refined until it became obvious: a modern, elegant, milky alcohol deeply rooted in its territory.

A refined liqueur, a tribute to the cows of Megève

To bring this creation to life, Au Bon Lait teamed up with an emblematic local player: the Revenaz family, distillers from Megève for four generations. Together, they imagined a precise blend, made from the milk of Megève's cows, sublimated by perfectly controlled distillation.

The result? A velvety texture, delicate milky aromas and a subtle palette blending vanilla, lemony freshness and natural sweetness. A gourmet yet balanced profile, designed to be savored after a day on the slopes, in front of the fireplace or at large winter gatherings.

As soon as it is launched, the liqueur will be available at NØUS, VØUS and ANATA, as well as at the Épicerie des Fermes de Marie, and several village partners.

The first chapter of a milky universe

This liqueur is just the first step: Au Bon Lait de Megève aims to develop a veritable gourmet universe dedicated to Megevan milk. The founders are already imagining a collection of creations ranging from eaux-de-vie to milk jams, berlingots and chocolates. Each delicacy highlights a local product and celebrates the Alpine art of living.
