Femmes de Carac'Terre: Marie-Aude Vieira brings together a dozen women for an exceptional gastronomic evening

Femmes de Carac'Terre: Marie-Aude Vieira brings together a dozen women for an exceptional gastronomic evening

Mathilde Bourge | 10/9/24, 5:33 PM

On October 21, the Serge Vieira restaurant will be the setting for an exceptional dinner orchestrated by women chefs, producers and winemakers. A not-to-be-missed event for Pink October.

On Monday October 21, 2024, Marie-Aude Vieira will be hosting a "Femmes de Carac'Terre" evening at the Serge Vieira restaurant (3 toques), where chefs, winemakers, cheesemakers, florists and even musicians will come together for an exceptional dinner. Tabata Mey, Naïs Pirollet and Georgiana Viou will be among the guests.

Talent and perseverance

In 2024, Marie-Aude Vieira celebrated the 15th anniversary of the Serge Vieira restaurant by inviting dozens of chefs for exceptional dinners in the heart of the Cantal region. While these evenings were a real success, the restaurant manager found that few women had taken part. " I thought it was important to highlight the commitment and perseverance of passionate women," says Marie-Aude Vieira. On October 21, she will be bringing together women winemakers, producers, cheesemakers, musicians, florists, and chefs for a superb dinner, featuring Tabata Mey, who is opening the gastronomic restaurant Ombellule and the Brasserie Roseaux in Lyon with her husband Ludovic Mey.

The chef will be joined by other leading figures in French gastronomy, such as Blanche Loiseau, from the House of Bernard Loiseau (4 toques), Naïs Pirollet, a finalist in the 2023 Bocuse d'Or, who now works with Anne-Sophie. Georgiana Viou of the Rouge restaurant (3 toques) in Nîmes, Marie Soria, chef at Potel & Chabot, and Nicole Fagegaltier of the Le Vieux Pont restaurant (3 toques) in Belcastel. " They're all women of character, rooted in their terroir, and most of whom I've known for a long time," stresses Marie-Aude Vieira, adding that part of the evening's profits will be donated to an association dedicated to the fight against breast cancer.
