Bertrand Noeureuil takes charge of L'Orangerie at George V
Parisian palace Four Seasons George V entrusts its L'Orangerie restaurant to chef Bertrand Noeureuil. A major appointment for the man who will succeed Alan Taudon from summer 2026.
A new chapter begins at one of the capital's most emblematic palaces. from summer 2026, chef Bertrand Noeureuil will take charge of L'Orangerie (3 toques) at the Four Seasons George V. He will succeed Alan Taudon and add his signature touch to a house already recognized for its high standards and central position in Parisian haute gastronomy. The news marks an important turning point for the chef, who is leaving Bordeaux and the Observatoire du Gabriel (3 toques), where he arrived at the end of 2023.
A career in the finest houses
A native of Toulouse, Bertrand Noeureuil has built his career with some of the greatest names in French cuisine. Having worked in some of the most prestigious establishments in the world, and marked by his collaboration with Arnaud Donckele, he spent a long time working on his brigades, notably at La Vague d'Or (5 toques) in Saint-Tropez, then at Plénitude (5 toques) in Paris. This collaboration enabled him to take part in one of the most ambitious projects on the contemporary gastronomic scene, before going independent and becoming chef at L'Observatoire du Gabriel in Bordeaux.
At the George V, L'Orangerie has established itself as an intimate, contemporary dining experience, focused on clear, precise, product-centric cuisine. Set in a space bathed in light, the restaurant is part of a gastronomic ensemble that contributes to the palace's reputation, alongside Christian Le Squer 's Le Cinq (5 toques) and Simone Zanoni 's Le George (2 toques). Bertrand Noeureuil will be responsible for extending the identity of the place, while bringing his own sensibility to it. The chef will also be in charge of La Galerie and Room Service menus, as well as food and cocktail pairings for the Palace Bar.
