Hôtel Particulier Montmartre

We love this dream hotel in the heart of Montmartre, housed in a sumptuous Directoire house owned by the Comtet family for generations, and now by Oscar. Recently restored by the talented decorator Pierre Lacroix, the five suites (Grand Tralala, Jardin sur le Nil...) now unveil drapery, 1900s furniture and Art Deco mosaic bathrooms. For a romantic evening, it's best to book the most spectacular suite - the Folies du Ciel, whose glass roof opens onto the Paris skyline. Hotel Amour

Dalmore Manor

This stone and granite manor house was built just over a century ago by an art-loving Australian, who imagined it in the Arts and Crafts spirit that celebrates Scottish style (Dalmore means "the great field" in Gaelic). Converted into a hotel in 2011, it has retained all its charms - beveled-tiled windows and antique furnishings decorate the 10 rooms and suites, overlooking Port Manec'h beach or the 6-hectare park.
