Gault&Millau's review 2025

A member of the Barrière Group, the hotel is one of the must-see spots on the coast, and for over a century has been a haven for actors and directors, who gather here every year for the Deauville American Film Festival. Built in 1912 in the Anglo-Norman style, with a majestic half-timbered facade, the hotel was restored in 2016 and features 271 rooms and suites of refined luxury, including the "Suite Un homme et une femme", which pays tribute to Claude Lelouch's 1966 masterpiece filmed in the hotel. The restaurant La Belle Époque treats guests to Norman cuisine served in the dining room, which has preserved its historic decor, as does Le Bar du Normandy, a magical place, with its stained glass windows, deep armchairs and fireplace. Last but not least, the Diane Barrière spa, with its fitness center, Le Tigre yoga and Pilates classes, and indoor swimming pool topped by a glass roof.
