Gault&Millau's review2025
Already at the helm of the Amour and Grand Amour hotels in Paris, Emmanuel Delavenne, André Saraiva and Thierry Costes decided to head south in 2019 to inaugurate their new address. In the heart of Nice and a stone's throw from the Negresco, this new Amour takes on the allure of a southern villa, with 38 rooms decorated with antique furniture and palatial bedding, powder-pink bathrooms and Italian-style showers, when bathtubs aren't installed at the end of the bed. If the rooms are seductive, the establishment is also worth a visit for its communal areas. A patio, a Greek tavern with Kalamata-sourced products, a bar with Instagram potential and, above all, a dreamy rooftop with a swimming pool offering 180° views of the Mediterranean. Beach lovers, however, will prefer the private beach, with its striped umbrellas and azure deckchairs. It's an exclusive place where travelers and true Niçois meet, delighted to escape the flood of tourists in the summer months.
