Producer On their 250-hectare estate, Étienne Maury and his father, Hervé, have mastered their business, from gestation of the animals to the product on the plate. These cattle breeders have been pioneers in the short distribution chain for over 20 years. Their farm proudly houses 200 animals in an organic setting where nature and animals coexist to preserve biodiversity. The Maurys have forged close links with other local artisans: a lamb breeder, a poulterer from Bordeaux and a pork butcher from Bergerac. This alliance has enabled their delicacies to fly out all over France, answering the call of gourmets in search of authenticity. They have also innovated by installing vending machines, a modern touch that offers self-service meat. This bold move not only strengthened their reputation, but also added a new dimension to their family tradition (by order only: www.natureviande.fr).
