Producer Located in the heart of the Hautes-Pyrénées, the Carrau family, whose members have been raising ducks, cows and calves for three generations, transforms their produce in their cannery named Gailhou-Durdos. In this way, you can delight your taste buds with treasures produced in an ultra-short circuit, from meadows to plate. You'll find delicious duck dishes (from foie gras and manchons confits to garbure, cassoulet and rillettes) in both physical and online boutiques, as well as at markets. The family also offers a wide range of dishes featuring the farm's other meats, such as blanquette de veau and daube gasconne. "We want to bequeath a fine working tool to our children," adds Florence Carrau. And it's true that the know-how and traditional family recipes inherited from their forebears are a credit to the terroir. This is one of the reasons why the company has been recognized by the Chambre de l'Artisanat. In addition, Gailhou-Durdos offers products from other local producers (honeys, wines and spirits, cookies, confectionery), with deliveries throughout France, Spain, Italy and England.
