Elegant lemon-yellow color with coppery-green highlights. Stone fruit and cooked white fruit express themselves on the nose, complemented by well-integrated notes of spirits, liquorice and blond wood. The mousse and bubbles are chiselled and sharp. If the ageing appears marked on the palate, the wine expresses clean, saline flavors, underlined by notes of grilled fruit, on a tight, taut structure. The finish prolongs this tension.

In 1962, Raymond Sourdet and his wife planted a few vines at La Chapelle-Monthodon, between Épernay and Château-Thierry. They sold all their grapes to champagne houses. In 1975, their son Patrick Sourdet and his wife Nadine Diot decided to bottle their own production and created the Sourdet-Diot champagne house. Ludivine Sourdet, from the third generation, joined the domaine in 2008. Gradually, new equipment is installed to improve quality. Some cuvées are matured in foudres and oak barrels. The 8.6 ha estate will be certified HVE3 in 2020.
