Creamy and crusty cake, biscuits and white fruit tart on the nose. The super expressive bubbles and mousse are tonic, but all lightness. Savoury and saline, the palate has smooth fruits and minerals, with finely ground grainy textures. A champagne that slips down so easily as aperitif, with elegance and floaty lightness, flowing on as the plates are served at the table. Lovely.

Philippe Martin

The house Philippe Martin has been producing champagnes for over two centuries and nine generations in the Premier Cru classified town of Cumières. Passed on from father to son, the Martins vinify nearly 10 hectares of vineyards spread over 6 areas. Wines are aged in vats or barrels in the cellar, depending on the vintage. The estate has developed oenotourism activities, offering visits to the cellar and their vine and wine museum, champagne tastings, walks in the vineyard, including during harvest days. By reservation, the domaine also offers, food and wine pairing sessions, and cheese and champagnes.
