Gault&Millau's review
The Maillarts have been vignerons since 1753. Nicolas Maillart took over the family reins after studying oenology and several experiences working abroad. On nearly 9 hectares, two-thirds of the vines derive from massale selections, a rare feature today. The house style of champagne is precise and textured with studious dosage. Since 2017, the estate offers a cottage for rent with three bedrooms for six people to discover the vineyards, and they have planted Petit Meslier vines to produce a cuvée in the future.
