Gault&Millau's review 2018

The nose plays on a gourmand register: tarte Tatin, green apple, almond, broom. Unctuous and persistent, the palate has a broad profile, with hints of roasted almond. Full of character.

Lepreux-Penet
Lepreux-Penet
Lepreux Penet, an organically farmed estate, spans the Grand Cru vineyards of Verzy and Verzenay. It produces wines crafted with a conscious desire to forge a connection between nature, ancestral know-how, and the sacred. Eighteen meters underground, in 19th-century chalk cellars, the wines rest to the sound of Bach’s music for four to ten years. The vibrations of the music accompany the aging process to awaken a multitude of aromatic nuances. The dense, vibrant chalk leaves its mark on the wine’s texture.
