This 100% pinot noir, matured on a grand cru terroir, is a great success in its solera version. Admittedly, there's a hint of vinosity and fullness, but as always in this house, without any showiness or glitter. Discreetly delicious, with a hint of peony. Enjoy with veal and porcini mushrooms, for example.

Lepreux-Penet
Louis-Gilbert Penet became an independent vigneron (récoltant-manipulant) in Verzy after the economic crisis of 1929, and invested in digging 18 meter deep cellars in the chalk. His son Jean-Marie succeeded him and created the brand, and it is his eldest daughter Florence and Jean-Paul Lepreux who continue the story today. The vineyard covers about 8 hectares located on the Montagne de Reims, cultivated with attention to the microbial life of the soils, and the desire to combine modern production tools with traditional methods. The domain has been conducting winemaking trials in amphora since 2017.
