Julien Chopin
Champagnes
Gault&Millau's review
Located in Monthelon, in this small, typically Champagne village 6 kilometers from Épernay, the champagne house has been cultivating vines since the 18th century. In 1947, the Julien Chopin brand was created. 52% of the vineyard is planted with pinot meunier, the king of grapes in the villages of Monthelon, Mancy and Moussy, and 42% with chardonnay, mainly in the Côte des Blancs, in the villages of Chouilly, Cuis and Grauves, with a few pinot noir vines. The house is particularly recommended for its Champagne ratafias, produced by grape variety.
