Who still thinks that rosés can't age? This cuvée from the 2005 vintage, with its slightly orange color, is a blend of great white wines and red wine from Cumières, and a fine example of success. An elegant nose of faded rose, candied clementine and spices is followed by a palate in which the evanescent bubbles give way to a smooth, balanced wine that's still very fresh. Enjoy this champagne with lobster.

The merchant Joseph Perrier was the supplier to Queen Victoria and Edward VII. a family business presided over by Benjamin Fourmon, cultivates a style based on Pinot Noirs (12 ha out of a total of 23), which give an incomparable mellowness to the house's champagnes. The grapes come from the family's Hautvilliers vineyard, which accounts for a quarter of the total supply. These are highly seductive wines, always beautifully ripe. Nathalie Laplaige has been cellar master since the end of 2018.
