Nicolas Chiquet founded the estate in 1746. Since then, the estate has been run by eight generations. Today, the 23-hectare vineyard is spread over the communes of Dizy, Aÿ, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ and Hautvillers, with a majority of Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier vines, with an average age of 27 years. Antoine and Nicolas Chiquet vinify plot by plot in small volumes (40 to 90 hl), and malolactic fermentation is systematically carried out for greater flexibility and stability. The range comprises five multi-year cuvées and three vintages. An independent winegrower, the domaine vinifies only its own grapes and offers online purchasing of its cuvées.
