Gault&Millau's review
The Forget family has been making its own sparkling wines since 1929. Michel Forget, the sixth generation, joined forces with Frédéric Jorez in 2000. The vineyard extends over 19 ha, mainly on the terroirs of the communes of the Montagne de Reims: Mailly-Champagne and Verzenay in grand cru; Chigny-les-Roses, Ludes and Villers-Allerand in premier cru. Environmentally-friendly viticulture and selective vinification are the domain's watchwords. Blends include a minimum of 40% reserve wines, and bottles are aged between 30 months and 10 years in the cellar before release.
