De Quoi Te Mêles-Tu ?

Domaine La Borderie

Domaine La Borderie - De Quoi Te Mêles-Tu ?
93 / 100 Champagne
Vintage : BSA
Classification : Blanc
Color :
Effervescent blanc
Budget : 45€ to 80€
Gault&Millau's review 2023
This champagne is named after the northern-facing plot of Pinot Noir on the Côte des Bar from which it comes. On the nose, the wine's greediness is astonishing, with smoky, almost lardy notes on opening, followed by warm bread, cereals and toast. On the palate, the wine's volume is impressive. It coats the palate perfectly before lengthening with vivacity on the finish. The low dosage suits it very well. We'd recommend opening it with a red meat in a dry coffee marinade.

Domaine La Borderie
Domaine La Borderie
This young house from Bar-sur-Seine, on the Côte des Bar, now produces several cuvées, including one vintage. All come from 50-year-old vines planted on clay-limestone soils, with the philosophy of striving for excellence, since only the juice from the cuvée is used. Vinification is carried out on a parcel-by-parcel basis, with a variable proportion of barrels used for ageing. To discover the estate's champagnes, the family welcomes you to two beautiful gîtes. A rising star in Champagne.
