This cuvée is reserved for great years, and 2002 is one of them. The patina of time brings infinite complexity, with notes of honey, candied fruit and toast, evolving constantly with aeration. Certain notes of fresh grapes recur in sequences like accents on the letters of a poem. On the palate, the wine is ripe, ample and generous, while preserving the crystalline tension that is the hallmark of great champagnes. Superb!
