This wine, made from a single plot of Syrah in the Robiac valley, should be well aerated, as this grape variety can be reductive on opening. On the nose, there's a lovely, complex bouquet revealing notes of licorice, cinnamon, fig, rose and a hint of smoke. On the palate, the tannins are present but silky. The whole is smooth and suave, with long aromas of violets, figs, pastry and pepper.
