Shy at first, the bouquet unfurls floral aromas, quickly overtaken by fruitier notes of apricot and toast, reminiscent of coffee, toast and caramel. On the palate, a creamy texture is supported by perfectly calibrated bubbles. Tension and intense fruitiness are balanced by the perfect ripeness of the grapes, culminating in a peppy, dynamic finish. A bottle that's both accessible and complex.

Located in Avize, on the Côte des Blancs, Domaine De Sousa has been practicing biodynamic viticulture for more than ten years, using a parcel-by-parcel approach in its 12-hectare vineyard, divided into 83 parcels of the best crus such as Avize, Cramant, Oger and Mesnil-sur-Oger. Since 2020, the three children have been at the helm of the estate. Charlotte is in charge of marketing, Julie in the vineyards with her four draught horses, and Valentin in the winery for the blends. Their top-of-the-range cuvées - such as "Cuvée des Caudalies", "3A" and "Umami" - are particularly sought-after worldwide. Nonetheless, 40% of their champagnes are still distributed in France on fine tables or by independent wine merchants. A benchmark domaine.
