Gault&Millau's review 2025

A former coaching inn where the kings of France used to stop before their coronation at the Basilica of Reims, this property regained its prestige in 2018, thanks to the efforts of the founders of the Champagne Hospitality group, which is part of the Leading Hotels of the World collection. The original building is now flanked by a contemporary wing that opens onto the vast expanse of vineyards, giving the place an incredible sense of space… From the lobby, which features a library and lounge, to the Le Bellevue bistro, whose spectacular terrace overlooks the vegetable garden; to the approximately 1,500-square-meter spa with two pools and treatments by myBlend and Clarins Precious. Chef Christophe Raoux oversees two dining venues: the gourmet restaurant Le Royal and Le Bellevue, with its spectacular panoramic terrace. Finally, a special mention for the 47 rooms and suites, which offer understated luxury with fine materials (stone, marble, wood), five-star bedding, and sumptuous views of the vineyards and the meandering Marne River.
