Gault&Millau's review
Claude Rigollot set up his business in 1970 near Bar-sur-Aube, with just a few ares of vines, but the family had been winemakers for 5 generations. He marketed his first bottles ten years later, in the 1980s. His son Emmanuel took over in 2009, after completing a BTS in technical sales at the Avize viticultural college and a long internship in the United States. The estate comprises nearly 7 hectares of vines in Bergères and Baroville. Pinot noir is the predominant grape variety, complemented by 20% Chardonnay. By appointment, you can visit the estate and taste the wines in a cathedral tasting room.
