The coral-toned color gives way to a nose reminiscent of wild strawberry, lily of the valley and pineapple. The dosage is present, but helps give fullness to a vinous palate. Red berries are present and make you salivate. The minerality of the structure stretches through to the finish, while incredibly fine bubbles prolong the pleasure. Pair with roast pigeon or a moderately spicy Mexican dish.

Alexandre Bonnet

The village lies at the end of the Laignes valley, on the borders of Champagne and Burgundy. It's a land of hillsides that, for centuries, men have patiently shaped for the vine. Its history and name are plural, and its reputation singular: Les Riceys. On the steepest slopes in Champagne, the Kimmeridgian limestone gives Les Riceys pinot noirs the unique expression that has made the reputation of its three appellations: champagne, coteaux-champenois and rosé-des-riceys. The Alexandre Bonnet estate produces some of the most sought-after wines on the Côte des Bar.
