In Les Riceys, a famous village with three appellations located in southern Champagne, on the border with Burgundy, Pinot Noir—grown on Kimmeridgian limestone—reigns supreme. This predominance is evident at the Alexandre Bonnet estate. The estate also cultivates and replants rare grape varieties through meticulous viticulture, grounded in careful observation of the soils and a long-term approach. Benjamin Courant, vineyard manager, and Irvin Charpentier, cellar master, produce wines that express the power and aromatic richness characteristic of the wines from the slopes of Les Riceys.
