A lovely freshness that evokes Neapolitan lemon granita, an armful of fragrant white flowers (jasmine, lily), grapefruit and fresh notes of eucalyptus and sage in a complex bouquet. Ripe white fruits accompany fine, silky bubbles. Hints of bergamot come through on the finish, bringing the hoped-for tension.

Alexandre Bonnet

The village lies at the end of the Laignes valley, on the borders of Champagne and Burgundy. It's a land of hillsides that, for centuries, men have patiently shaped for the vine. Its history and name are plural, and its reputation singular: Les Riceys. On the steepest slopes in Champagne, the Kimmeridgian limestone gives Les Riceys pinot noirs the unique expression that has made the reputation of its three appellations: champagne, coteaux-champenois and rosé-des-riceys. The Alexandre Bonnet estate produces some of the most sought-after wines on the Côte des Bar.
