Close to the Étoile, behind a brick-colored façade, a journey to Mexico, where chef Enrique Casarrubias is originally from. His products are boosted by herbs and spices from his homeland, and the proportions are just right. His plates are meticulously presented and colorful: ceviche of gilthead bream, hibiscus, tostadita, beet juice; followed by monkfish from Roscoff, chachoyotas, encacahuatado, beurre blanc emulsified with monkfish liver, matured beef, smoked, masa, artichoke chips and roasted, and the meal ends with a corn cake, piloncillo and chocolate, for a truly exotic yet gourmet sequence. Well-stocked wine list, reasonably priced. Friendly, attentive cosmopolitan staff.
