Their duo makes a difference... and wins a Gault&Millau award in Occitanie
Charline Mage and Bastien Salvatge, who run Cuq en Terrasses in Cuq-Toulza, receive the Trophée Accueil 2026 for the Occitanie-Andorre region.
Charline Mage and Bastien Salvatge, who run Cuq en Terrasses in Cuq-Toulza, were honored at the Occitanie Gault&Millau 2026 ceremony. The award, presented by Pierre-Olivier Bouchot of Api&You, recognizes establishments where hospitality has become a true signature.
A duo with complementary backgrounds
Trained at the Toulouse Hotel School, Bastien Salvatge built up solid experience in renowned establishments, from Arles to Paris, before joining Michel Sarran's teams.
at his side, Charline Mage follows a career path focused on the dining room. After a stint in Montpellier and Monaco, she quickly made her mark, becoming Restaurant Manager at Stéphane Tournié in Toulouse.
The rebirth of Cuq en Terrasses
In 2024, the two partners put their joint project into practice by taking over Cuq en Terrasses. Nestled in the Tarn countryside, this stone building surrounded by its vegetable garden became the perfect setting for local cuisine and service in perfect harmony.
Their complementary skills are fully expressed: Bastien's cooking is rooted in the terroir, while Charline's hospitality and experience in the dining room are both demanding and natural.
Here, hospitality is at the heart of the project. Fluid service, attention to guests and simplicity make for a warm experience, far from excessive formalism.
With this award, Gault&Millau salutes a sincere, modern approach to catering, driven by a duo for whom hospitality is much more than a skill: it's a genuine philosophy.
