Patrick Agnellet, a member of Relais Desserts since 2011, will be hosting a hundred pastry chefs in Annecy in April 2024. Gourmets may be in with a chance!

Annecy is gearing up for a major event. From April 14 to 17, 2024, Relais Desserts members will gather for their usual international meetings. For the occasion, pastry chef Patrick Agnellet will be organizing a Goûter des Chefs for 600 guests, in which a privileged few may be able to participate...

Around 100 pastry chefs, 16 nations represented

"The members of the Relais Desserts association meet twice a year to exchange ideas," explains Patrick Agnellet. "One of these meetings is often held in Ferrières-en-Brie in Seine-et-Marne, while the second can take place in New York, Tokyo, Venice or Madrid. I've been a member since 2011, and this year I wanted to hold the seminar in Annecy to welcome my colleagues and show them our ultra-modern laboratory, our products and our stores", he adds.

In all, some one hundred pastry chefs from sixteen countries will be present at this wonderful event, synonymous with sharing and exchange. Throughout their stay, they will be treated by renowned local chefs such as Yoann Conte, Jean Sulpice, Franck Derouet and Florian Favario.

But that's not all! "It's also an opportunity to introduce the Relais Desserts association to the general public. So I had the idea of organizing a Goûter des Chefs, where each chef could present one of his or her creations to the 600 guests invited around a large buffet. You'll be able to discover my products, as well as those of Pierre Hermé, Belgian pastry chef Marc Ducobu and many others. A lot of people from Annéciens have been invited, and we'll be giving away tickets on our social networks inthe near future, so that everyone has a chance to take part", stresses Patrick Agnellet. So stay tuned over the next few days for your chance to enter the competition!
