It’s official: Lucile Vigilant was named Pastry Chef of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region for 2027 during the Gault&Millau Tour, at a ceremony held at the Château de Saulon on Monday, June 29, 2026. This distinction marks a new milestone in her career at Relais Bernard Loiseau. Trained under pastry chef Benoît Charvet, this chocolate enthusiast has established herself as one of the leading figures in French gourmet pastry. The trophy was presented to her by Priscilla Kiala of Debic.

A Return to Her Roots Celebrated

A native of Besançon from a family of farmers and ranchers, Lucile Vigilant discovered the world of the restaurant industry at a very young age before training at the Poligny Culinary School. It was at Relais Bernard Loiseau that she met her future husband, Louis-Philippe Vigilant.

After working together to open Loiseau des Ducs in Dijon, the couple returned to Saulieu when Louis-Philippe took the reins of the restaurant in 2023. Since then, Lucile has been creating the restaurant’s signature desserts—a body of work that this award now crowns.
