Ritz Paris pastry chef François Perret opens a second Comptoir location, this time on the capital's Left Bank. From June 2, his creations will be available at 45 rue de Sèvres.

After winning over gourmets on the Right Bank with his first boutique on rue Cambon, François Perret is moving to the Left Bank, right in the heart of Paris's VIᵉ arrondissement. Located opposite Le Bon Marché, the new Ritz Paris Le Comptoir address intends to appeal to neighborhood regulars as much as Sunday strollers.

The choice of this location is not insignificant: it embodies a Paris that is literary, residential and artistic... An ideal setting for this Comptoir, which blends pastry tradition with contemporary elegance.

A taste of luxury to go

As in the first boutique, the idea is simple: to offer haute pâtisserie creations in a nomadic format. There's no tea room here: everything is designed to be taken away and enjoyed elsewhere, like the famous Mille-feuille-To-Go, signature puff pastries or savoury sandwiches revisited with finesse.

Iconic madeleines, marbled entremets and famous pastry drinks - part beverage, part dessert - are also on the menu. These delicacies are thought through to the smallest detail, right down to the packaging, beautifully illustrated with the effigy of legendary figures such as César Ritz or Auguste Escoffier.

An illusionist's collection of éclairs

To mark the opening, François Perret unveils a brand-new series of trompe-l'œil éclairs. Behind their sober appearance lies a melting heart of chocolate or vanilla. A coffee éclair, created especially for this Left Bank address, will enrich this exclusive collection. It has been created from an in-house coffee developed for the occasion.

A made-to-measure coffee from the Ritz

It's a first: the Ritz Paris Le Comptoir is launching its own blend, designed in collaboration with Parisian coffee house Lomi. The result? A subtle blend of beans from Ethiopia, Colombia and Honduras, with notes of chocolate, caramel and yellow fruit. A round, aromatic coffee, perfectly calibrated to accompany Le Comptoir's sweet treats.

A showcase in the image of the Ritz

Refined design, precious display cases, arches inspired by Place Vendôme, madeleine-shaped ceiling lights... The interior architecture of 45 rue de Sèvres takes up the aesthetic codes of the Ritz, adapting them to the scale of a neighbourhood boutique. The space is as much an invitation to contemplate the windows as it is to indulge. On the shelves: sweets to offer, in-house teas and coffees, as well as objects bearing the chef's signature - books, aprons, marble cake-scented candles...

With this second boutique, François Perret is pursuing a clear ambition: to make the sweets of the Ritz accessible to as many people as possible, without compromising on quality.
