Festival de la Gastronomie de Quintin: here's the 2024 program

Festival de la Gastronomie de Quintin: here's the 2024 program

Mathilde Bourge | 5/7/24

The Quintin Gastronomy Festival returns on June 1ᵉʳ and 2, 2024. Gastronomic meals, culinary demonstrations and numerous producers are on the program.

It's back for another edition! The Festival de la Gastronomie, which has been running since 2012, is back again from 1ᵉʳ to June 2 at the emblematic Château de Quintin, in the Côtes-d'Armor region. This year, some thirty chefs and forty producers have come together to honor Breton gastronomy in all its guises. Here's the program, with a few new features.

When and where will the Quintin Gastronomy Festival be held?

The Festival de la Gastronomie de Quintin officially takes place on June 1ᵉʳ and 2, 2024 at the Château de Quintin. But as always, an inaugural party will take place from Friday evening, May 31, with street food, wine bar, bal toqué and fireworks. For the rest of the weekend, some forty producers will be setting up their stalls in the château's courtyard and terrace, and some thirty chefs will be giving culinary demonstrations, either on stage or around a brazier. Two ten-hand gastronomic meals are also planned, as well as "cook shows" featuring some of the region's top chefs. Last but not least, three competitions will be held before the eyes of the public: two for young people in training (one in cooking, the other in pastry-making) and one amateur competition.

Who are the participating chefs?

Two gourmet meals will be served during the festival. On Saturday evening, chefs Erwann Le Pogam (Itsasoa, 2 toques à Carnac), Charles Moreau (Granit, 2 toques à Plouharnel), Baptiste Denieul (Maison Tiegezh, 3 toques à Guer), Julien Hennote (Le Pourquoi Pas, 2 toques in Dinard) and Jérôme Gourmelen (Ar Men Du, 3 toques in Névez) will be behind the stoves.
On Sunday lunchtime, Julien Doupeux (L'Auberge, 2 toques in Auray), Brieg le Cam and Maxime Lafaille (L'Auberge de la Vieille Eglise in Trégastel), Loïc Le Bail (Le Britanny, 3 toques in Roscoff), Jérémie Le Calvez (La Pomme d'Api, 3 toques in Saint-Pol-de-Léon) and Guillaume Pape (L'Embrun, 2 toques in Brest).

New this year : the "Cook Show", an invitation to enjoy a unique experience behind closed doors with a chef and his guests, who will have carte blanche to concoct a menu in the heart of an 18th-century Château dining room, surrounded by guests. For this grand premiere, Nicolas Carro (Hôtel de Carantec, 3 toques in Carantec) takes the lead, surrounded by his friends chefs Kevin Gourret (Sao, 2 toques in Quimper) as well as Corentin Ogor and Klervie Tanniou (Haut-Linage, 2 toques in Penmarc'h). On Sunday, Olivier Beurné (L'Amphitryon, 2 toques in Lorient), will invite Alexandre Frin (Ombelle, 2 toques in Dinard) and pastry chef Mathias Narcissot (Rennes) to join him.
