EP!C: the emblematic Galeries Gourmandes gets a makeover

The Galeries Gourmandes at the Palais des Congrès in Paris becomes EP!C, a store where you can do your daily shopping while discovering exclusive delicatessen products.

Galeries Gourmandes gets a makeover! The famous brand, a cross between a modern supermarket and a top-of-the-range delicatessen, is getting a facelift and becoming EP!C, a brand of good taste still located in the heart of the Palais des Congrès in Paris. Here's what's in store for food lovers in search of culinary nuggets for their daily lives.

A Parisian icon

In 2000, Albert and Jacky Hadjez created Les Galeries Gourmandes, a 1,400 m² store in the Palais des Congrès, offering a wide range of delicatessen and everyday products. The concept, inspired by the premium supermarket models that have emerged in the United States, has quickly become a benchmark in western Paris, for customers wishing to do their everyday shopping, while also being able to unearth a few rare gems.

But that's not all! Galeries Gourmandes already offered many other avant-garde advantages, such as the possibility of coming 7 days a week, integrated parking and counters inspired by American food courts.

EP!C: the new generation

Nearly twenty-five years after the start of this great adventure, it's Franck, Jordan and Steve Hadjez's turn to take up the torch, bringing their contemporary vision with the EP!C concept.
The couple's children have been testing their idea since 2022, in the Marché Saint-Germain, showcasing Monoprix products alongside delicatessen brands selected by them, as well as fruit and vegetables.

After two successful years, the trio embarked on a major renovation of Galeries Gourmandes, with the help of the Malherbe Paris agency. In addition to the modernized decor, with off-white and blue shades, wooden display units and a light fixture made up of 5,000 jam jars, EP!C has plenty of surprises in store, including a Mediterranean area, a 12x5-meter delicatessen and dairy counter, and even a cellar featuring a 4,000-strong selection of wines and spirits. After a year's work, EP!C will open its doors in mid-October, to delight gourmets!
