Do you know this vodka from Charente?

Fermented from quinoa and distilled in Cognac, Fair vodka illustrates a brand's transition to more local, responsible production. It embodies the ambition of an ethical spirit, respectful of both producers and the environment.

Since its creation in 2009, the Fair brand has sought to shake up the world of spirits. The range includes a vodka produced in the Charente region of France from quinoa and corn, with no added sugar and fair trade origins. Initially produced with quinoa from Bolivian farms, the seed's homeland, Fair has changed its methods. Today, the brand ensures entirely made-in-France production for this spirit:"After years of sourcing in Bolivia, we decided to source locally in Anjou to reduce transport costs and energy consumption. Once in Cognac, the quinoa is burned by a microbrewery. The quinoa must (5.5%) is then distilled in a single-column alembic with organic, GMO-free wheat alcohol."

Our Fair vodka tasting notes

This Charentais vodka, made from Agri-éthique-labeled quinoa and corn, affirms its commitment to fair remuneration for French farmers. The spirit reveals a raw, gourmet personality, with notes of blackcurrant, roasted corn, pear and orange zest. Its syrupy texture gives it remarkable density and a purity that is fully expressed, whether served over ice or in cocktails.
