Cédric Grolet Café: the chef's first coffee shop in Paris

In February 2024, Cédric Grolet will open a coffee shop of his own, a stone's throw from his boulangerie-pâtisserie in Paris. Here's the address and what to expect.

And that's three! After his boutique at Le Meurice and the one on Avenue de l'Opéra, Cédric Grolet will open a new address on February 7, 2024. Located just a few steps from his boulangerie, it will be a coffee shop, offering two new hybrid creations among other things.

New concept, new creations

After London, Singapore and Courchevel, the star pastry chef returns to Paris, on rue Danielle Casanova, not far from his boulangerie-pâtisserie. Billed as "his definition of a coffee shop", the new venue will offer hot and cold drinks, "from the classic flat white to the most original milk punches", explains Cédric Grolet in a press release.

So, "with the opening of this boutique, [the pastry chef is] delighted to be able to offer a new concept with new creations that will evolve in five variations over the seasons, in the image of [his] collections". Two new creations will be on offer: cookie-pizzas, available by the slice or in XXL format, and cream-filled croissant-beignets. The thirty-something didn't fail to whet his subscribers' appetites by sharing the first images of these delicacies on Instagram, with their bulging, flaky and slightly sweet appearance. As usual, Cédric Grolet will be gradually sharing information about this new address via social networks.

This new opening comes at a time when Cédric Grolet is regularly mocked on social networks. At Christmas, the pastry chef was criticized for his log, which was deemed too expensive and not aesthetically pleasing. For Epiphany, it was his galette des rois, too sparsely garnished, that created controversy. The pastry chef will now have his work cut out for him!
