In Paris, Anne-Sophie Pic is venturing into a new realm: the world of cocktails. The chef is opening Utopic, a bar entirely dedicated to mixology, located within the Fondation Cartier. Conceived in collaboration with Maël Jégo, the bar’s head mixologist, the venue offers a menu of 22 creations that bring the Pic family’s aromatic explorations—ranging from infusions, spices, botanicals, and fermented ingredients to spirits—to life in a glass. It’s a new spot where gastronomy is experienced, this time, at the bar.

Cocktails in the Chef’s Own Language
The menu features 22 creations, conceived as aromatic compositions. Some directly echo Anne-Sophie Pic’s repertoire, such as the “Versant,” which combines Banon, citron, and green Chartreuse, a nod to the “Berlingots” at Pic’s restaurant in Valence (4 toques). Others explore more unexpected pairings, such as the “Clair-obscur,” featuring apple, kuromame, and malt, or “Chimère,” which combines Damask rose, sake, and champagne. Several cocktails are also available in non-alcoholic versions. Utopic also reimagines some of mixology’s great classics—from the Kir Royal to the Negroni—by adding a house-special touch. Earl Grey tea, fig leaves, meadowsweet, and mushrooms thus shift their usual balances.
