Description
Bakery Jean-Luc Cicala, holder of the title of Chevalier du Bon Pain and co-President of the Confédération Nationale de la Boulangerie-Pâtisserie Française in Savoie and Haute-Savoie, has a philosophy of eating well, that is, enjoying healthy, tasty products. "We use no additives, natural sourdough and flours that are certified organic or from sustainable agriculture," he explains. In addition to sourcing from local farmers, his challenge of excellence lies in respecting the rules of the trade. The establishment's 50 employees create a tasty range of products, including viennoiseries, pastries, snacks and breads. Among the signature recipes, the organic Tourte du grenier on sourdough is a must. And if the Saint-Julien store is a Boulanger de France accredited bakery (one of only 6 in Savoie!), the recently acquired Valleiry shop will undoubtedly be one in the near future! At both addresses, gourmets appreciate the aromas, textures, nutrients and preservation of the products. Merveilles de Pain has also been awarded the Entreprise Apprenante label, in recognition of its commitment to apprenticeship. Merveilles de Pain can also be found at 50, route de Bellegarde, 74520 Valleiry.
