Confectionery The founder of this venerable company, Bélissaire Boissier, invented marron glacé in 1827. Then came the famous fruit bonbons-boule, celebrated by Victor Hugo, Émile Zola and Alexandre Dumas. The range has evolved, with the addition of marshmallows and chocolates. But they are still presented in delightful boxes, notably a sublime turquoise tin decorated with leaves, flowers and gold lettering.
