Winery presentation by Gault&Millau
The Valentin Leflaive story has its roots in the centuries-old history of the Leflaive family in Puligny-Montrachet, Burgundy. Since 2015, a new chapter has been unfolding in Oger, at the heart of the great terroirs of the Côte des Blancs, in a winery featuring a traditional aging cellar carved into the chalk. For this new venture, Olivier Leflaive chose his son’s first name, Valentin. Five years later, in 2020, the house obtained its license as a négociant-manipulant. The historic plot-by-plot and single-varietal approach, typical of Burgundy, is applied here and offers unique interpretations.
