Sun-baked yellow fruits on the concentrated nose, baked orange with star anise, without a glint of sweetness. Salivating bubbles cascade off the suave and seamless palate, of green and yellow exotic fruits (mango, melon, kiwi and almost ripe pineapple), beautifully blended with lovely tangy to tightrope tense notes, and a long juicy, saline waterfall final. Tastes like a the perfect tropical retreat, to your health.

Serge Mathieu

Michel and Isabelle Jacob-Mathieu run this seventh generation small estate - with a big reputation - in the Cote des Bar in the south of Champagne. Serge Mathieu pioneered production under his own brand in the 1970s. The family now operates 11 hectares of vines in the town of Avirey-Lingey where Pinot Noir dominates and, unsurprisingly, their HVE certified vineyards are made up of 80% Pinot Noir with the rest Chardonnay. The range of champagnes produced is top quality.
