Gault&Millau's review
Champagne Robert Barbichon covers five villages around Gyé-sur-Seine and Celle-sur-Ource in the heart of the Côte des Bar, in the south of Champagne. The vineyards of the Barbichon and Prélat families were united here. Since 2005, Robert Barbichon et Fils produce organically farmed Champagnes, following the principles of biodynamics. With Thomas and Maxime, today the fourth generation work the land and the vines where 70% of plots have a southern exposure and the average vine age is 30 years. The majority of the grapes are Pinot Noir (77%), with also white grape varieties such as Chardonnay or Pinot Blanc (16%), and finally Meunier (8%)
