Superb purity for this unfined wine from Mesnil-sur-Oger. The nose combines complexity and purity with aromas of lemon juice, orchard fruit and milky notes. The palate is fine, delicate, chiselled and precise. This clean champagne is ideal for aperitifs among connoisseurs.

Pierre Péters

A Luxembourg family who settled in Champagne in 1840, the Peters now farm just over 20 hectares around Mesnil-sur-Oger. Planted almost exclusively with Chardonnay, the vines are spread over a number of beautiful plots, notably in Mesnil, Oger and Avize. Vinified and matured in vats, the wines undergo malolactic fermentation almost systematically, to enhance their finesse. On the vineyard side, the estate is HVE certified. Of particular note is the launch of a new cuvée Réserve Privée, developed jointly with two colleagues from other wine-growing regions (Château les Trois Croix in Fronsac and Domaine de la Jasse in Montpellier) and marketed exclusively to members of an enthusiast club on their initiative: www.vinsvip.fr.
