As with his extra-brut, Pierre Peters' Perle is a very pure wine: on the nose, a sensation of crystal-clear water invades. The aromatic palette, typical of Mesnil, evokes lemon, white flowers and iodine. On the palate, this sensation of purity without austerity is repeated. A beautiful champagne with a long, saline finish.

Pierre Péters

A Luxembourg family who settled in Champagne in 1840, the Peters now farm just over 20 hectares around Mesnil-sur-Oger. Planted almost exclusively with Chardonnay, the vines are spread over a number of beautiful plots, notably in Mesnil, Oger and Avize. Vinified and matured in vats, the wines undergo malolactic fermentation almost systematically, to enhance their finesse. On the vineyard side, the estate is HVE certified. Of particular note is the launch of a new cuvée Réserve Privée, developed jointly with two colleagues from other wine-growing regions (Château les Trois Croix in Fronsac and Domaine de la Jasse in Montpellier) and marketed exclusively to members of an enthusiast club on their initiative: www.vinsvip.fr. No estate sales.
