Wine has been for five generations at the heart of the Berthelot family. Recently, Jacques handed over this "family heirloom" to his son Arnaud. The plotscover 16 hectares and are located in Dizy (Premier Cru) and in Aÿ (Grand Cru). In the last few years, the estate dramatically reduced the use of chemical treatments (weed controlling and fighting mildew and oïdium). Besides the classic blends of wines based on the three typical varieties of the Champagne region, the Berthelot family has, although they did not mention it before, been elaborating cuvées originating from a single plot for several years
